Autumn

I love Autumn or Fall as most of us would call it! It is my favorite season of the year. This week it started to feel like Fall. It even started to smell like Fall. I don't know what it was maybe some had fires going or maybe it was just the leaves and trees but it definately smelled like Fall to me. It made me so happy I had to bake some pumpkin bread and then I thought maybe I should make some oatmeal cookies too. Those are 2 of my favorite things about Fall. Here are a few more.

What I love about this time of year:

• Cooler weather but not Cold...weather that just makes you want to sit outside all day in God's creation
• Chilly enough to really Enjoy a good cup of coffee in the mornings especially sitting on your front porch in a snuggly blanket or cozy sweatshirt
• butterflies, birds, bunnies and deer...all sorts of creatures that are moving about (i.e. I'm sitting outside as I type this and there are butterflies flying around my butterfly bush)
• the sound of leaves as they crunch under your shoes
• the smell of a burning fire
• blankets and snuggling by that fire
• togetherness of family over the holidays
• Thanksgiving....my favorite holiday...we have so much to be thankful for
• football....yes even football
• apple pie, apple dumplings, just apples!
• Jeremy just as he comes in from hunting and his skin is still cool to the touch
• our kids learning to hunt with their dad
• watching the kids play outside
• and most recently walks/hikes out our backdoor and down the hill....the creek is flowing with water and there is so much vegetation....so relaxing and enjoyable.

I LOVE FALL!
