Travels in London - Day 3

After breakfast at the hotel, we headed to Oxford Street. First, we went over to Reagents Park and the Queens Rose Garden. Reagents Park is another one of London’s beautiful parks. It leads right up to the Queen’s rose Garden. The rose garden was pretty but unfortunately none of the roses are budded at this time of year. It would have been breath-taking to see it in its full splendor. We circled the gardens a bit and then went looking for Oxford Street and browsed around there awhile. By this time we were getting hungry for lunch so we went and grabbed some bruschetta and Greek salad and of course dessert – a strawberry tart and lemon bread. Yum! After lunch, we went by the Pepperdine House for Tiff to take care of some personal business. Then we headed over to the Kensington Gardens and Hyde Park. Triston – there is a monument in Hyde Park of Peter Pan because this is where Peter Pan was thought of. We decided to get some tea after walking through Hyde Park because it was near tea time in England and I wanted to experience tea time as the British do. Next we headed to the hotel to repack our bags and leave some of our luggage with the concierge. Then, we headed out again and went over to Hummus brothers to eat a lite dinner before seeing a show. We saw The Phantom of the Opera and it was terrific. The singing was magnificent!
