Last Friday Triston did not have school. I was going to work so he was going to go to Ty's school and go with the older kids to The Jumping Party. So, we were not rushed to make it to school by 7:45a that morning. (A little background: Triston has a hard time every morning. He is not a morning person and would prefer to sleep till at least 8 every morning. So it is a chore to get him up and going. There is usually a lot of complaining and such.) But for some reason he woke up at 7a on Friday in a GREAT mood! He was being very helpful with Ty and obeying every thing I asked of him. So, he and Ty were eating breakfast and I was making lunches and this is what Triston says just as serious as he can be - Mom, we are not in a hurry this morning like a cat chasing a mouse! I just died laughing, of course. I had to ask him to repeat hisself just to make sure I understood him correctly and then I preceded to say so I'm like the cat and your like the mouse. He agreed. Kids say the craziest things sometimes and it is even funnier when they hit the nail right on the head with their analogies!
