Travels in London - Day 5 (Paris)

The first stop on our agenda today was the Eiffel Tower. It was HUGE! We spent most of the morning here. There were many people as it is the highlight of tourist attractions. We grabbed a beignet and waited in line for a while to get tickets to the top. We waited in a lot of lines to be able to get to the top and see all of Paris but it was extraordinary. You could see for miles – really amazing. It did start to spit snow when we got to the 2nd level and it was bitter cold but it was worth it. After enduring the cold and long lines we were hungry so we went out in search for food through the streets of Paris. We found another yummy Panini. After we were replete we headed to Notre-Dame. The cathedral is absolutely beautiful. It is amazing the amount of time they spent with all of the stained glass and detailed architecture that is in this place. After Notre-Dame we were going to see another cathedral that had pretty stained glass but the line was way to long and it was cold outside so we headed to the Louvre instead. This is one of the most frequented museums in the world. It is home of the Mona Lisa and many other historical artifacts. I am glad that I had the chance to take a tour through it. After all the walking we decided to head back to the hotel and take a rest before dinner. For dinner we had some great Italian food including tiramisu – Yum! We ate just down from the Pantheon but it was closed because it was after 6p so we just took a few pictures of the outside. From outside the Pantheon you can see the Eiffel Tower and it was all lit up and sparkling tonight.
